Why People Use PixDuplicate's Resizer

Exact Dimensions, No Guesswork

Enter the width and height you want, and that's what you get. Or lock the aspect ratio and let it figure out the other number for you.

Three Ways to Resize

Fit keeps the whole image inside your dimensions. Fill fills the frame and crops the overflow. Exact just forces the numbers you gave it, even if it stretches things.

Resize a Whole Batch

Apply the same dimensions to a bunch of images in one go. Good for prepping product shots or standardizing a photo collection.

Nothing Gets Uploaded

Everything runs in your browser. Your images never leave your device—no servers, no cloud.

Download Everything at Once

Grab all your resized images as a ZIP so you're not downloading them one at a time.

Works with GIFs

Resize animated GIFs and WebP files and keep the animation when you export to a compatible format.

How the Resizer Works

Changing image dimensions—without sending them anywhere

Step 1: Add your images

Drag and drop files, browse for them, or paste an image URL. Supports JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP (including animated), and BMP up to 50MB each.

Try the example image first if you just want to poke around before uploading anything of your own.

Step 2: Set your dimensions

A few ways to do it:

Enter exact width and height in pixels

Lock the aspect ratio so images don't get squished or stretched

Pick Fit, Fill, or Exact depending on what you need

Or scale by percentage if you don't care about specific pixels

Step 3: Set the output

Decide how you want the resized version saved:

Format: pick based on what you're using it for

Quality: for JPEG and WebP, adjust compression to balance size and quality

Process one or all: resize a single image or run the whole batch

Preview: compare the original and resized versions before you commit

Step 4: Download

Once done:

Check your resized images in the results gallery with new dimensions and file sizes shown

Download individual files with filenames that show the new size

Or grab everything as a ZIP

Clear results or reset and start fresh whenever

Tip: If you've got a bunch of images that all need the same dimensions, use 'Apply to All' and hit 'Process All.' Way faster than doing them one at a time.

Your Images Stay on Your Device

Unlike other online resizers, PixDuplicate does all the work locally in your browser. That means:

Your images never leave your device
No uploads, no cloud processing
No sign-up or personal info needed
Completely free with no limits
No watermarks added to your resized images
Works offline after the page loads

Cole Danforth

"Does what it says. I run a small web shop and need product images at consistent sizes—this handles it without me opening Photoshop. Loses half a star only because I'd like to save my dimension presets between sessions."

Priya Chandrasekhar

"The aspect ratio lock alone is worth it. I've used other free resizers that stretched my photos into weird proportions. This one keeps everything looking right. The Fill mode is perfect for square thumbnails."

3/7/2026

Bridget Mahoney

"Works well for basic stuff but the Fit vs Fill vs Exact thing took me a minute to wrap my head around. Once I got it, it was smooth. Resized about 80 Etsy listing photos in one batch without issues."

Julian Okafor

"I send a lot of images as email attachments and file size limits are always a pain. Resize by percentage, drop the quality a bit, done. Keeps everything local too, which matters since I work with client mockups."

6/30/2025

Sienna Ricci

"GIF support is what kept me here. Most free resizers break the animation or upload everything somewhere. This keeps it local and the GIF stays animated. Used it for about 30 meme crops last week."

Blake Thornton

"Solid tool. I build landing pages and constantly need images at specific pixel widths. Batch resize, ZIP download, done in a few minutes. Would be nice to see a preview of the estimated file size before processing, but it's not a dealbreaker."

Common Questions

Does it work with animated images?

Yes. GIF and animated WebP files keep their animation when you export to GIF or WebP. If you export to a static format like PNG or JPEG, the animation is dropped but the first frame is preserved at full quality.

What's the difference between Fit, Fill, and Exact?

Fit scales the image to fit entirely inside your dimensions without cropping—you might end up with empty space on the sides. Fill scales it to completely cover the dimensions, cropping whatever sticks out. Exact just forces the numbers you gave it, even if it distorts the image. If you don't want any distortion, use Fit or Fill with the aspect ratio locked.

Is there a file size limit?

Up to 50MB per image. No strict limit on how many you process, but huge batches can slow your browser down. If you're doing 50+ at once, you might want to do them in chunks.

Which formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP (static and animated), and BMP. You can output to any of those—animation is preserved when you pick a compatible output format.

Is my privacy protected?

Yes. Everything runs in your browser. Your images never get uploaded anywhere—not to us, not to anyone.

Can I resize multiple images at once?

Yes. Upload multiple images, use 'Apply to All' to set the same dimensions, then hit 'Process All.' Download everything as a ZIP when you're done.

Why would I need to resize an image?

Optimizing for web, hitting upload size limits on platforms, standardizing a photo collection, prepping images for email, fitting specific design requirements. All kinds of reasons.

Does resizing hurt image quality?

Shrinking is usually fine—modern algorithms handle downscaling well. Enlarging is trickier; we use interpolation to minimize softness, but don't expect miracles. Start with the highest resolution source you have.

Can I resize by percentage?

Yes. Instead of entering exact dimensions, you can scale by percentage—50% to shrink, 200% to double, whatever you need. Aspect ratio is kept automatically.

What happens to the aspect ratio when I resize?

By default, the aspect ratio lock is on. Change the width and the height updates automatically, or vice versa. Unlock it if you want custom dimensions—just know it might distort the image if the new ratio doesn't match the original.
